Sign-in & Connection Fixes

  • Fixed cases on some Windows devices where the correct password was rejected as "invalid credentials"
  • Black screen after cancelling and reconnecting to the same device is resolved
  • Password dialog now appears reliably on a fresh connection attempt after a rejection
  • Brief network hiccups no longer flash a "Connection Failed" badge — the client now shows a reconnecting state

macOS & Usability

  • On macOS, the "Open Settings" button now opens System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording directly
  • Settings remain clickable during an active session — no need to disconnect to change preferences

Connection Stability

  • "Host not found" errors on Windows are significantly reduced — automatic DNS retry with 60-second cache
  • Devices no longer appear "offline" during brief network interruptions — heartbeat timeout extended from 5 to 12 minutes
  • Unnecessary connection retries removed — a single server error now triggers 1 attempt instead of 4

Video Quality

  • Computers with 3–4 GB RAM now use AV1/H264 codec — previously downgraded to VP8 unnecessarily
  • AV1 is only selected when the device truly supports it — reduces freezes on slower hardware
  • More reliable monitor switching on multi-display setups

User Experience

  • When a connection is declined, you now see the reason — wrong password, session expired, and so on
  • When the remote computer opens a UAC-protected window (e.g. Task Manager), an explanatory message is shown instead of a frozen screen
  • License key input now tolerates paste errors like "LABEL: KEY" — the prefix is stripped automatically

Admin Console

  • Peer UUID reset added — useful when a device is replaced
  • Session statistics (codec, fps, duration) are now recorded correctly
  • Typed confirmation modal added for irreversible admin actions

Security

  • Improved brute-force protection for one-time passwords
  • Clipboard security hardening (upward-compatible update)
  • Mandatory authentication and rate limiting on admin API endpoints

Turkish Windows Users

  • Increased resilience against intermittent DNS resolver failures — specifically addresses "No such host is known" errors common on Turkish networks

User-Based Licensing

Connection Stability

  • Smart connection sequence: UDP is tried first for direct peer-to-peer connection; if it fails due to firewall or network restrictions, it automatically falls back to WSS relay. This ensures the fastest and most efficient path is always chosen
  • Heartbeat mechanism added: active connections send a signal to the server every 30 seconds
  • Stale connection detection: sessions are automatically closed after 5 minutes without a heartbeat
  • Older versions (v1.5.x) automatically cleaned up via 12-hour TTL

Management Console

  • Dashboard now shows active connections, version distribution, and heartbeat statistics
  • Concurrent session limit setting added to the user form
  • License type selection added to the customer form (device-based / user-based)
